【プロフィール】

9歳で野球を始めて以来、アメリカ・日本・オーストラリア・カナダ・チェコ共和国・オーストリアの6カ国15チームを渡り歩き、国境を越えてキャリアを築いてきた。
2015年にはチェコ共和国エクストラリーガのフロッシ・ブルノにて選手兼コーチを務め、さらにオーストリア代表チームの三塁コーチとして国際大会にも参加。チェコ・エクストラリーガで初の日本人プロ契約選手としても知られている。

独立リーグ時代に門田博光氏からそのリーダーシップを評価されたことをきっかけに、チームマネジメントや指導者としてのキャリアを本格的にスタート。以降、海外クラブでの指導、国際大会でのコーチング、選手サポートなど、多方面で経験を重ねてきた。

2023年のワールド・ベースボール・クラシック（WBC）では、世界から注目を集めたチェコ代表チームのサポートスタッフを務め、国際舞台におけるチーム運営や強化活動に深く携わった。さらに2026年WBCではチェコ代表のインフィールドコーチとして現場に立ち、世界最高峰の舞台で選手強化、守備指導、チーム準備に携わるなど、国際野球の最前線で経験を積んだ。

現在はパーソナルジム「On Deck Circle」を拠点に、これまで培ってきた知識・技術・国際経験を活かし、パーソナルトレーニングや技術指導を行っている。加えて、高校・社会人野球チームへの指導、講演活動、海外経験を活かした野球教室など、多方面から野球の発展に寄与している。
国内外で得た経験をつなぎ、日本野球と世界を結ぶ存在として、選手育成と競技発展に取り組み続けている。

Kenshoku Takubo has built a uniquely international baseball career, playing and coaching across six countries and fifteen teams — including the United States, Japan, Australia, Canada, the Czech Republic, and Austria.

In 2015, he served as a player–coach for Hrosi Brno in the Czech Extraliga, and later worked as the third-base coach for the Austrian National Team in international competition. He is also known as the first Japanese player to sign a professional contract and compete in the Czech Extraliga.

His leadership was first recognized during his time in Japan’s independent leagues by legendary slugger Hiromitsu Kadota, who encouraged him to pursue team management and player development. That recognition became the starting point for his coaching career, which has since expanded to include international coaching roles, player development support, and work with clubs and national teams across borders.

At the 2023 World Baseball Classic, Takubo contributed as a support staff member for the Czech National Team, a group that captured worldwide attention with their inspiring performance. In the 2026 World Baseball Classic, he further expanded his international coaching career by serving as the infield coach for the Czech National Team, working directly on player preparation, defensive instruction, and team development at the highest level of international baseball.

Today, he brings his global experience to On Deck Circle, his private training facility in Japan, where he provides personalized skill development and conditioning programs. Alongside individual training, he also works with high-school and industrial league teams, conducts coaching seminars, and leads baseball clinics and speaking engagements that connect Japanese baseball with the international game.

Drawing on his experiences across multiple countries and competitive environments, Takubo continues to support player development and contribute to the growth of baseball while serving as a bridge between Japan and the global baseball community.
